Peak Design Field Pouch V2
Holds a body + lens + spare battery in a sling that clips onto any strap or belt.
$79.95
Why it's in the kit
The Everyday Backpack is for full production days. The Field Pouch is for the coffee shop write-session where I might grab a photo, or the walk where I want the A7 IV but not the whole rig. It clips onto the backpack strap or doubles as a small sling. One body, one lens, one battery — that's the limit, and that's exactly the point.
How I run it
Clips onto the Everyday Backpack's shoulder strap with the A7 IV body-only (or with the 50mm prime when I get one). Lens hood reversed to save space. A spare battery in the front zip pocket. This is the 'I don't know if I'll shoot today but I'll be mad if I don't have it' setup.
Skip it if
If you only shoot in production environments where you always have the full backpack, this adds redundant weight.
Strengths
- + Hypalon clip attaches to any backpack strap — zero extra load
- + Expandable gusset accommodates a body with lens attached
Trade-offs
- − Tight with a 24-70 attached — best paired with a compact prime
